Make your Mark
Join artist Róisín White in a hands-on/practical workshop exploring the possibilities of creative mark-making with young people. In this workshop, we will experiment with different materials and tools to create abstract and playful artwork, beginning with basic materials from the classroom, and leading on to creating our own mark-making tools, textures, and even paints. This will be a chance to create art together that is purely focused on the experience of creating, not on the end result, and to have fun with new materials!

Róisín White is a visual artist and facilitator based in Dublin. She has worked with children and young people through visual arts for over 10 years. She has a child-led approach to her workshops, allowing children to learn by doing, experiment and not be afraid to make mistakes. Encouraging them to take things in an unexpected direction, because it is often in happy accidents that magic happens!
Róisín studied photography at DIT, and sculpture and ceramics in NCAD. She primarily makes artwork by combining photography with sculpture and textiles. She makes artwork that explores storytelling, folklore, and history, and uses found objects and images to inform these stories. She has received funding from the Arts Council, Dún Laoghaire – Rathdown County Council, Creative Europe, and Dublin City Council. She has exhibited in Ireland and internationally, and was the artist in residency with Dún Laoghaire – Rathdown County Council from 2023 to 2025.
