Artist Mags Harnett will introduce this painting, Apple Gathering, Quimperlé, by Walter Osborne, to the children, and talk about how we get our food. The children will then create their own apple trees, working in pairs.
Mags will also mention the National Gallery of Ireland’s creative online videos, so that they can continue looking at other artworks in the collection, and creating their own masterpieces, in their own time.
Here’s an example of what they will make:
