POSTPONED DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES – WILL BE RESCHEDULED
This training session offers a practical and reflective exploration of neurodiversity in the early years, and how children may experience, connect, communicate, learn and engage with the world around them.
Through a neuroaffirming lens, we will explore emotional, social, cognitive, physical, sensory and executive function development, with a focus on connection, co-regulation and understanding the child behind the behaviour.
Core focus will explore sensory needs, triggers, creating the “just-right” environment with child-centred strategies, that support participation and wellbeing.
The session will also explore how practitioners can work alongside and support families while they are awaiting assessment or diagnosis, including signposting to relevant supports, rights and entitlements.
