National Childhood Network, in partnership with Children’s Books Ireland and the Department of Children, Disability and Equality, is updating its recommended reading lists to help educators choose excellent books to read with children.
This short survey has been designed for the National Childhood Network to help identify the most useful book themes for early childhood educators. The themes align with Ireland’s Aistear Framework to support both national standards and holistic learning, as well as the Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) Charter and Guidelines, which promote an anti-bias approach, celebrate diversity, explore similarities and differences, and challenge stereotypes.
We want to ensure that every child has access to books that spark their imagination and support their growth.
